Pretty in videos - BioLite FirePit

While they do a good job of creating a very good video the reality of the product is a bit different.

First off it rusts. That nice mess on the sides so you can see the flame is not rust proof. Cooked some real nice bacon on the top and got a lot of splatter. Next day I got a bunch of rust all over the metal.

While it does reduce the amount of smoke, don't kid yourself there will be smoke. I put it next to a real campfire and you can see the difference. In order to get the greatest 'smoke free' effect you need the fan on the highest setting. Kind of detracts from a roaring fire when you got a loud fan going.

I did like how fast the fires caught on. Just a little bit of fire starter material and some dry wood and I had a nice fire.

In the end I would just recommend watching the videos and saving your money. Its just not built to be used in real life.
