A synthetic insulated parka that actually has some loft! - Black Diamond Stance Belay Parka - Mens

If your looking at the DAS or Dually, this parka should be on your short list to consider as well. Uses 5.6 oz Primaloft Silver continuous filament insulation. Continuous filament insulation's are far more durable (and lofty for their weight) than Primaloft chopped staple i.e. Gold, One. So durable that this jacket is NOT quilted, the insulation is only sewn in at the edges. This means less cold spots and more loft. The un-coated Pertex nylon shell is excellent. Fit, finish, details, are all excellent. Two things to consider: Hood is a single pull cord, so it lacks control. Cuffs are a little loose so they slide down easily if not wearing gloves. Still, really impressed with this piece.
