Great microspikes - Snowline Chainsen Pro Traction System

Steve's Review of Snowline Chainsen Pro Traction System
Word on the trail is that these are the microspikes that are manufactured in Korea that used to be imported as Kahtoolas, but for about 1/2 the price. Apparently there was a falling out, and this company now sells direct, Kahtoolas are now made somewhere else, with some differences as Snowline apparently holds the patent. Took a chance on these as I needed to outfit the whole family, and they work great so far, even on fairly steep inclines, though it's been for short distances, otherwise, your average hiking trail. Grip solid on ice flows, minimal balling/snow buildup underneath. Hang them up to dry after use and no signs of corrosion. Materials seem quite robust. We'll be taking them up a 4,000 footer this coming weekend if the snow packs down. Sizing is great because there is an xxl, needed for some men's size 13 snow boots or14 hiking boots. The large barely fits size 13 Merrell Moabs. I bought some xl and some xxl to cover any differences.
