Just completed a 320 km bike trip from Passau Germany to Vienna with a no name hydration pack to see if it was what I wanted for long distance bike trips. I was satisfied with the pack, except for the absence of rain protection and a very finicky cap, which on occasion wouldn't go on right and then would leak. Also gave me a good insight on size of pack wanted and what was worthwhile to carry.
Armed with this knowledge, I picked this Camelbak pack as it has the features I discovered would be most handy - big reservoir with a great seal, easy and secure bite valve, custom rain cover built in, easy access belt pockets, good hip belt to keep the weight off my shoulders, roomy backpack for necessary at hand gear. Can't wait to use it!
