I wanted to find a simple camping lantern but didn't have a lot of money to spend. You really can't beat this thing for the price! I found similar lanterns online for $20 - $30. I was surprised how well the lantern lit up my tent and the campsite in general. It's pretty sturdy too, especially when it is closed.
