Being part of the new Altitude collection of Canada Goose I suspect this parka is meant for the person who is a little more active than one who would wear their traditional fur clad parkas.
The jacket is very warm without being bulky. In fact this jacket has a higher down fill than the typical Goose parkas (750 vs 625).
Being of medium build 5'10 at 170 I purchased a medium. The coat is fits nice but if you like a more slim fit perhaps size down one size.
The only negative if I'm being picky is that the inner lining seems to be of similar material as the outerr layer, therefore it is cool to the touch at first, and may feel slightly clammy feeling if all you wear is a short sleeve shirt underneath and tend to heay up quickly. I would probably be wearing at least a long sleeve shirt underneath and only really wear this on colder days where the TEI Canada Goose rates this at is appropriate.
