I don't kayak without them - Cascade Creek Yakgrips

Recommended to me by a relative, thought I'd give them a try and after the first use I had 2 more sets on the way. Work well on a long paddle helping to cut back an blisters and fatigue. I am an old guy and I have moderate arthritis, Yakgrips help to alleviate some of the joint pain that I get around my thumb and forefinger.. I have both the solid and wrap around types and they both work well. I use different colors and it helps distinguish different paddles at a glance. I use a different length paddle for my SOT than I do for my SINK and it lets me verify I'm grabbing the correct one when I"m loading up. They do slide and move so you need to index your grip occasionally but that movement is part of why the work so well. I have found they provide a little bit of paddle floatation with the paddles I use them with (although I would not rely on them 100% for this purpose). I've seen nothing that comes close for the price.
