I've owned the Ecotreads and Vibes and they each have their place. The Ecotreads are great for a wider foot like mine and are comfortable from the start. The Vibes are a bit more narrow and tend to need a bit of a breaking in period for the tightness of the webbing. However, the Vibes lasted me ten straight years of being the only shoes I wore through long southern summers. Now that I have a replacement pair I can go ahead and send the old ones in for repair. It's the absolute best summer investment in footwear.
