Danners don't disappoint
All the benefits of solid hiking boots with the modern touch of little to no break-in period and modern materials

comfortable shoes
I'm an old guy that walks for exercise . I back packed when younger and these shoes are pretty light for that. That being said, these are extremely comfortable shoes right out of the box and are perfect for my walks. I didn't like the shoe laces but that's a cheap fix.If they hold up for they're year warrant they'll be a five for me.

Danner Boots are always high quality and some are made in Oregon. The price of $ 104 was great !
I like these boots. The overall quality is top notch. Over the years I have owed several pairs of Danner's and all were great boots. When I first received these there was an odd fold where the tongue attaches to the side of the boot. This caused a sore spot on my ankle. I worked on bending it into the proper position and with heavier socks the problem went away. The boots are fine now. There is a breaking period for this style boot but with that said they are comfortable right out of the box. The traction for these soles is average. On slippery surfaces --- be careful. Rocks, mud and snow they are good. Danner makes a sole called the Bob which in my opinion is the very best for traction on any surface.
