Bought this backpack so that we could start hiking with our toddler and we love it! My husband says it's lighter than he expected, and we both found it easy to load and unload our toddler from it. The instructions for how to adjust everything are kind of vague (just pictures), but we figured it out. Our son loves it too, he seems comfortable and doesn't fuss at all when he's in it! Definitely excited to go places where our stroller can't!
