Best rope bag available - Edelrid Caddy Light Rope Bag

This thing is ultra light, durable (with the new update), and super packable. Theres no reason to pack your rope directly in your bag anymore and go without a rope bag for weight or space saving. The thing about this bag that tips all the rest is the bucket design. You can belay in really tight spaces and keep your rope compact in the bottom bucket without spreading out the tarp all the way. The only downside is carrying the bag outside of your pack. It doesn't have a padded strap, and becasue of the round design, it sits a little funky. To me though, this is a non issue, and between climbs at the crag it packs and carrys super easy and happens very quickly becasue of the bucket design. I just wouldn't recommend carrying it in on an hour long approach, could get annoying. Overall, A+ design, A+ weight and durability and pack ability, B- for carry strap (no pad).
Pros:
durable
Light
Packability
Unique Speed-Pack Design
Belaying in Tight Quarters
Cons:
Carry Strap has no Padding
Best Used for:
Sport, Trad climbing
