Dyno-mite 2 led not working - eGear Dyno-Mite Keychain Light, LED, ABS Plastic, Assorted

Didn't work out of the box, I cranked the light for the recommented 2 minutes (clock-wise). No light came on after turning on the switch. Then cranked for 10 minutes and again no light. No doubt the capacitor is disconneted as the light will flash if the switch is on and you are cranking it, but as soon as you stop cranking it goes out. I'm not sure if it breaks easily or is unreliable, it's just
