Evernew non-stick pot - Evernew Titanium Non Stick Pot

I wouldn't eat a freeze dried dinner at home so why would I eat one while backpacking? With a little planning I can put together great lightweight dinners that are better and more filling than packaged freeze dried dinners for a fraction of the cost. I have two Evernew pots, a 2.5 liter stainless pot and a 1.9 liter titanium pot, that I have been using for over thirty years. I also have a couple smaller poorly designed non-stick pots that are another brand. So when I got serious about upgrading my non-stick pot, I looked to see what Evernew had and then I found it at Campsaver. There are a number of dinners I make that I can get by with not using a non-stick pot for but the key to reviving freeze dried ingredients is plenty of soaking and/or simmering time and some sauces are tough to simmer without scorching. Simmering a cooked cereal breakfast containing dried milk is tough without a non-stick surface. Ultrathin titanium is very energy efficient but it doesn't spread the heat real well.
The Evernew Non-stick Titanium pot is perfect. I can simmer without scorching, it has folding wrap around handles instead of using a heavier, bulkier pot holder, and the handles are welded on rather than riveted through the non-stick surface like other brands so the non-stick surface is easier to clean and more durable. This pot has a convenient "spout" for pouring or draining. Evernew pots are the best I know of. They are high quality, sturdy, and very well designed for backpacking. Use an appropriate spoon for the non-stick surface.
Pros:
Sturdy
high quality
Non-stick
Ultra lightweight
Welded, not riveted
Cons:
1.3 liters is a little small for some things
Best Used for:
Backpacking
