Perfect for me! - Evolv Kira Climbing Shoe - Women's

Erin's Review of Evolv Kira Climbing Shoe - Women's
I bought these as my second real pair of climbing shoes, and I love them. For the record, in the gym, I boulder up to V5's and top rope up to 5.11b's, with preference to stemming and crimps. I hated my previous lace up shoes, so the velcro are amazing. I like that you can pull the velcro in different directions to get a different level of tightness. They are synthetic, so don't expect them to stretch too much. I bought mine 0.5 sizes bigger than my street shoe size (other climbing shoes I generally go down a whole size, but Evolv's seem different to me), and they were of course snug when I first put them on (I generally like my shoes pretty tight). Within 3-4 climbing sessions, I really felt like the synthetic molded to my foot and I was good to go! No break in time, no hesitation on chips or slab or slopey foot holds. I like that they have a slightly turned toe (but not as aggressive as the Sharmas). They are super comfortable! I did try these on in a local store before buying them through campsaver, so I knew they were going to fit me well.
Note: I've heard that if you are a woman with wider feet, that the men's version of this shoe might be better for you. I considered trying that as I have wide feet, but the Kira's still stole the show for me.
