GaiusGracchus's Review of Exped DeepSleep Mat 7.5 Sleeping Pads
We purchased the 1 x Exped DeepSleep Mat 7.5 Sleeping Pads, Medium Wide, 7640445451635 from Camp Saver and got a great price. We did have to wait for a while for it to arrive.
We are thrilled that it is only 72" long. Most people are not longer than 72" and the space we have for it is exactly that long. It was very hard to find a wider mat that was not also 77 or 80 inches long. It seems the wider the mat the longer they are, too, in spite of the fact that MOST people are just not that tall.
This one holds its air very well so far. It seems very well-made and solid. It will fill up mostly on its on as it is self-inflating, but it is still rather soft. So we purchased a small battery powered air pump to make it even firmer. It takes just a few seconds of putting air with the pump to make it very firm.
We are fairly light (122 - 125 lbs) so it is definitely thick enough for our comfort. It is nice that it has separate ports for inflation and deflation.
It is a great mat and it works well for us.
