JJ's Review of Featherstone Outdoor Backbone Trekking Pole Tent
This tent is a lot of value for what you are paying. I was a little irritated that you have to seam seal one of the exterior seams. Seems to be a maunfacturing flaw. It took about 10 minutes in all to do the seam sealing. Can't complain too much. All of the other seams look properly sealed. I have yet to be rained on in this tent. It sets up easy and is pretty stable. So far I been in hot weather with the vestibules open and cannot comment on condensation build up. I have heard that can be an issue. An actual color on the tent would have been nice. It said that it comes with a footprint, but it does not. It is roughly the same dimensions as the rei flash. So I grabbed a flash foot print at the rei sale for a pretty reasonable price. While you can sleep 2 people in this tent, it is more of a 1+ in my opinion. I bought it mainly for packing with my dog and not having room for him in my 1 person tent. Tremendous value for a 2 person tent under 3 lbs.
Pros:
Price
Ease of use
Build quality
Cons:
small for two people
no color choice
a little heavy for a trekking pole tent
