This is a nice jacket but it is not a good jacket for rainy weather. Out of the box a walk in drizzle for 20 minutes and water penetrated the fabric. Four more layers of wax and it takes about 45 minutes of light rain for you to feel the water coming through. I don't know how many layers of wax it will take to get it resonably waterproof but it will stand up by itself with that much wax. Notic
