the fabric is the the traditional windbreaker type material, this is not their canvas material, that said the jacket and the material is of higher quality than what you would get in other sort of windbreakers like this, it's not the super slick silk like stuff that the cheaper jackets are made from....i buy good quality gear but i'm frugal, i bought this because it was on sale at a deep discount, even for more money i'd say it's worth it.
