I really wanted the down version, but couldn't find it anywhere in my size. I think the cape has definite pros, but in the right circumstances. If it's windy out, the wind blows up the cape. If you're trying to drive with it on, it's a bit confining unless you get settled in the driver's seat just so. But, lets say it's really cold out and you want to put it over your other coat/layers, I think that's a great use for it. And, ,if it's not too cold, it's great for not getting overheated.
