RJ's Review of Garmin GPS Maps Trailhead Series Appalachian Trail microSD/SD card
Garmin has two options for this. On a micro-sd card or as a download to your own micro-sold card inserted in the device. Download right are lifetime for a single device. If it gets corrupted just download again. That already happened to me once. I did not format the second card i just used it as is. Once it went bad I formatted and re-downloaded. I’m not sure what Garmin would do if the sd card went bad. The download includes lifetime map updates. Both products include detailed data 10 miles to either side. If you are using a Garmin device fir primary or secondary navigation I would recommend.
Pros:
Accurate trail
Cons:
Guthook has more up to dated info on things like water sources.
Best Used for:
Navigation
Would Recommend:
Yes
