I'll start by saying this is a great GPS. I've owned GPS devices for 20 years and have seen them improve significantly. I particularly like the GPSMAP series and have owned every model. I still have the GPSMAP 64st that I've used for 4 years. The reasons I upgraded were for the larger sharper screen resolution, bluetooth and faster satellite acquisition. We use our GPS devices for recording tracks in our Jeeps exploring trails that aren't always clearly marked and to assist other wheelers who like to explore as well as hiking while camping and RVing all over the US. The GPS map 66st fits the bill to the max. Light weight, efficient, mountable from a backpack strap to a Jeep dash or console, Easy to program, to read and using maps and tracks from multiple sources, it allows you to build any type of trip or adventure you can imagine. It is totally reliable and most importantly, if you explore you can find your way back and document your excursion for others to enjoy. As a faithful Garmin user I fully endorse this product.
Pros:
Light weight and compact
Great Screen Resolution and Readability
Long Battery Life
Fast Satellite Acquistion
Extensive Mapping and Trip Planning options
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
hiking and adventure
Jeeping anywhere unfamiliar
Would Recommend:
Yes
