Bought the Stout 45 for Winter dayhike, it combines good volume, reasonable empty-weight and lots of comfort. Carries moderate loads with the extras I need for winter hikes, great fit and comfort - replaced my internal frame multi-day pack that I was carrying 2/3 full, never regretted buying the Gregory. Great fit, good access and features for the price.
