Pants not what they used to be - Helly Hansen Epic Pant - Women's

I am SEVERELY disappointed in this pant, which I already own from 3 seasons ago. The quality is greatly reduced from my current pair, which is the warmest most wonderful super-cold weather pants I've ever owned. I wanted to buy a second pair for sub-zero days. While these do have four-way stretch, and a nice high waist back, they are THIN and would be no warmer than the multiple medium-weight pants I already own. The manufacturer will argue that with new, improved insulation material, you don't need the thickness, but that is simply NOT the case: Thicker, new insulation material (which my older Epic has) will still be warmer than THIN, new insulation material. I feel this is just part of the sad general trend of manufacturers keeping their prices the same, but swapping out for cheaper materials or less of them. VERY disappointed in Helly Hansen!
