Pretty good, but it could be better. - Hilleberg Bivanorak Minimalist Shelter

The material feels like it is a little weak, so it may be weak or it might just feel like it's weak, who knows. But I would much rather it be made out of the very durable light weight material that is called HyperD 300. But as an emergency bivy sack it should work, but I would not rely on this material that it is made out of to hold up if it was used on a regular basis.

The hood drapes over my face and terribly impends my view, so I have to wear a hat to keep the hood out of the way so I can see where I'm going. So if it had a slightly stiff hood that made it possible to see that would be great.

To keep the rain off my face I would para-cord wrap a tent stake to the handle of an umbrella and stick that umbrella into the ground right next to my head to keep the rain from coming in the bivy hood. Then it is best to sleep on an inflatable pad and an inflatable pillow. Then just put a nice sleeping bag in the bivy, climb in, zip up and go to sleep. Also put a ground cloth underneath the sleeping pad and pillow so they have less chances of getting a puncture.
