Tom's Review of Hilleberg Enan Tent - 1 Person, 3 Season
I spent a lot of time thinking and comparing before dropping this much money on a tent. It's really well designed and quite comfortable. I'm 6'1" (185cm) and find it roomy and comfortable lying down. It's not roomy sitting up - sitting on top of my air mat and sleeping bag, my head brushes the ceiling in the middle - but it's certainly adequate room for dressing, reading, etc.
I've had it in a freak overnight thunderstorm where it kept me perfectly dry and was only a little noisy in the hard pre-storm winds. In a night with a hard frost the outer got a good bit of condensation but the inner stayed virtually condensation-free, and warm and cozy to boot. A still, humid night just above freezing did result in a bit of condensation in the inner tent; I probably could have reduced it by opening the top of the outer door for a bit more circulation. Those are tough conditions for a tiny tent though.
Comparing to other single tents on a recent trail-clearing trip, the Hilleberg wasn't the lightest but it was lighter than most; and it offered an unmatched mix of very small and light pack size along with serious weather protection. I was certainly more comfortable than the lighter tents, and better protected than anybody else.
