Best trail running shoe - Hoka Stinson ATR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

I run in the mountains in preparation for hunting elk with my bow. At 57 years of age...and 6'5" tall...I need a shoe that will protect my knees. Stinson ATRs are like running on a cloud. Just wish Hoka had left a good thing alone. The new model is narrower in the toe box...and will not work for me.
