Easy, fast water purification - my go-to! - Katadyn BeFree Water Filtration System with 1L Flask

As a trail runner and backpacker I often need to purify water on the go. When the BeFree squeeze bottles came on the market, they were quickly adopted by every trail runner I know and now that I've tried it for myself, I can understand why! No more squeezing a million times through a tiny pump. No more waiting for chemicals to purify the water. Instead just fill the bottle and drink from it, or squeeze it to dispense water into a bladder. No funny taste. I've used this bottle many times now during runs and during several backpacking trips and it's worked really well. I do pack it with care in my pack since I worry that it might get damaged or punctured and I bring chemical water treatment as a backup for overnight trips, just to be safe. I've had the .6L flask for about 2 years and it's still working well. The .6L size is great for trail running since you can pop it into a front pocket on a running vest or pack. I bought this 1L size for my spouse who cycles off-road. I got tired of him poaching my Katadyn flask so I bought the 1L flask for him to use while out riding. Since he's wearing a larger pack and is on a bike the 1L size works well for him.
