This has a bulky cut to it meaning you could surely wear a heavyweight base layer underneath and this would fit loosely over the top. It definety is not athletic cut or fitted. It says to hang dry but you could probably get away with drying it in the dryer due to the low percentage of wool vs. polyester. Overall a nice product.
