I absolutely love these trekking poles :> i am a female, 5'8 150lbs and i use them when i carry my 30lbs toddler in a Kelty child carrier. I have used them on 7 mile hike, great for uphill & downhill, couldn't hike with my toddler w/o these Poles.
One thing i wasnt happy about is how easy they collapse. I had to adjust them for downhill and halfway down the hill i noticed they were collapsing...
