Terrible adjustability - Leki Wanderfreund High Fives Trekking Poles

I bought these for the ergonomic cane handles, which are nicer to walk with than the standard ski hole handles. I was worried about the flick-lock adjustments because I thought they could be fragile in the backcountry. It turns out that they are terrible for another reason: they loosen and don't hold the smallest pole section from retracting into the body of the larger section. I even tried tightening with a wrench, but then the flick-lock won't close. Once I did manage to close the lever, the smallest pole section still slides into the larger section. These suck. Caveat emptor!
