Not the best - Lew's Custom Speed Stick HM60 Casting, -1 Piece, Medium-Light/Jerkbait Special

I own a lot of rods, and most of them are Lew's products. This is one of my least favorites of the bunch. I don't really like the G-clutch system. I prefer that my handle is fixed. I don't trust that it won't twist, and loosen my reel while fishing. Also, not a fan of EVA grips. I always wrap them with Winn wrap. The G-clutch system makes this kind of difficult. The rod blank is made of good material, so this line has that going for it. The overall reason that I don't really care for these rods is that this rod is the only one I have that fouls on the cast. I don't understand why either. I have other rods with smaller guides that don't have this issue. I have also checked that the distance between the reel and hook keeper is the same as other rods, it is. I have the 7' 3" H mod/fast, and so far I have only put 40 lb braid on it. I may try 20 lb fluorocarbon just to see if this rod is just not braid friendly.
