Logan Walter's Review of Lowa Maddox Lo Hiking Boots - Men's

I bought, seriously, like 8 pairs of shoes trying to find something that would fit, from different manufacturers. I had to send all of them back. Nothing fit comfortably, either being too tight, or too lose, or leaving me totally unable to get my foot inside its size of shoe.

I finally found these, and knew I was set.

I have a few pairs of Lowa footwear (Baldo, Tibet, Renegade, Ledro) and I know their sizing. These came in, and they fit! Comfortably! I got these because I wanted some shoes that didn't have Goretex, for summer weather!

After a couple dozen miles on walks and around the house, I'm very happy with them. The shuttle speed lace is super neat, and I end up wearing these when I should wear something else, just out of convenience. They look pretty sharp, too.

The only real drawback is that Lowa's Slovakian footwear seems to fit a little different than their German footwear. (injected soles are usually Slovakian). They're mildly shorter or that could be that they're not as stiff as their German counterparts, allowing my foot to come forward more; I don't know. They still fit better than anything else I've found, and I'm very pleased with them!
