I used the boots on a recent paddle and camping trip where it was required to walk in a few inches of water getting in and out of the canoe; feet stayed warm and dry. Although these are more winter boots, using in late November with low temps in the mid 20's kept feet toasty at night and early morning. Like most Lowa boots, there was minimal break-in time. Gave a 4 star since I still need to try these out in colder temperatures and with snow.
