This shoe is absolutely phenomenal. The overall construction is amazing. It’s solid and strong yet still fits like a cloud on your foot. The gortex liner works very well and the soles provide excellent grip, even in oil on cement. I am a retired Marine with a pretty serious injury to my left foot and this is the only shoe I have been able to be on my feet for extended periods of time without pain. It has the perfect amount of ankle support with solid torsion resistance without impeding mobility. They can take a real beating and hold fast thanks to their great construction. My feet aren’t “wide” but they are leaning more that way than narrow and the fit of the toe box is perfect. If you are concerned about them being too narrow you can out your mind at ease because the shoe will quite literally shape to your foot during the break-in process. When sizing them fit them a half size small because they will stretch due to the leather materials used. All in all this is an absolutely amazing shoe and I recommend it to anyone that either needs to be on there feet for long periods of time for work, someone that likes the casual weekend trail hike, or anyone that is out exploring the back country for extended periods of time.
