Lowa trekker boots - Lowa Trekker Hiking Shoes - Men's

Campsaver offered these Lowa boots in a hard to find size 15, and they offered them at a very agreeable sale price! The Lowa Trekker boots are top-quality in terms of both construction and style/features. I do not buy waterproof/breathable boots as a rule because they cause the feet to become too wet and, thus, vulnerable to blisters. I do most of my mountain travel in the relatively dry environment of the Sierra Nevada range of California, and the Lowa Trekker boots without the waterproof/breathable membrane are perfect for California's dry conditions, and they also serve perfectly well for travel on snow fields and during occasional thunderstorms. I also very much like the soft leather lining in the Trekker boots... in short, these are very fine boots for backpacking in the High Mountains both on and off-trail. I would not use them for mountaineering, as they do not edge very well on rock, but for trekking purposes they are ideal. I also want to express my appreciation to Campsaver for stocking them in size 15!
