Bought same maglite to replace my damaged one - Maglite 3 Cell LED Flashlight

I have numerous Maglites, some with zenon/krypton bulbs and some using LEDs. I have them in my auto's, personal gear bag, kitchen, basement, and nightstand locations. The Maglites are well constructed and are made in the USA!
I am usually pretty careful and routinely remove and rotate my batteries in each maglite, but I suffered a severe battery leakage in the top most D-cell battery of my 3 D-cell Camo LED maglite. Tried numerous extraction methods over two days, to no avail. Saved the usable components and had to scrap the main aluminum barrel that houses everything, since the acid had eroded an inside section.
I found online that Campsaver was running sale on the identical camo maglite I had. So for approx $5 over the price of purchasing a new switch, I went and bought a completely new Camo 3D-cell LED maglite. I feel this was the best option, rather than rebuild my maglite with a damaged barrel.
I will continue to use and recommend maglites, and they make a really nice gift too!
Pros:
made in usa
rugged
reliable
rebuildable
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Camping
auto
outdoor use
emergency use
service work
Would Recommend:
Yes
