Gnome Enthusiast's Review of Mammut Aconcagua Light ML Hooded Jacket - Men's

I purchased a “large”.

I’m 6’0, 200 lbs (I’m working on that! :), 42-44 inch (106-112cm) chest, and 34-36 inch waist. I normally fit in “large” across the spectrum of outerwear and mid-layers. This was no exception.

My primary-use is ice-climbing, with 4-season backpacking as a secondary-use.

I normally wear an “action suit” consisting of a short-sleeve base-layer, long-sleeve secondary base-layer (this piece).

One of the things that attracted me to this jacket is the hood, and the chest-pocket. Climbing (wearing a harness) prohibits the function of waist-pockets, so a chest-pocket for a phone, etc. is key.

This is a beautiful hooded-jacket, and I WANT to wear it. I think it would make for a fantastic shoulder-season mid-layer, or a winter base-layer.

I LOVE it and wear it constantly, with a t-shirt underneath, to do yard work in 40-50 degree temps. I love it so much that purchased a second one.
