Dean D.'s Review of Mammut Alvra II Mid WP Casual Shoe - Men's
Made in Vietnam. Vibram exterior soles are good traction but not real high tread. Rubber reinforced exterior toe seems tough. Black leather exterior seems sturdy. The laces go through holes all the way up rather than lugs. Foot bed has a cork bottom which is comfortable. I normally wear insoles but these are tight to where there is no room for extra. I have to unlace them some to get them on and off. Soft leather on the upper interior with a waterproof mesh material below.. They seem OK, but they are different than any other boot I've had. Kind of like a tennis shoe that graduated into a boot. I am not sure how durable they will be. The stitching seems weak but no problems yet.
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
tight and laces with holes
Best Used for:
light hiking
Would Recommend:
Yes
