Great shoe; be sure to size down! - Mammut Alvra Low Leather Casual Shoe - Women's

I've not yet worn these on a hike, but it appears they will be very comfortable, supportive and durable. Well-made and cradles the foot. My foot is narrow, and it's hard to find such widths, but this shoe also accommodates a wider foot. I normally wear a US 8/EU 38 and sometimes a US 7.5/EU 37.5 in most all types of shoes. I ended up keeping a US 7. Had the sizing not been an issue (I first bought a 7.5 and an 8, and then ordered a 6.5 and 7...so it took four pairs of shoes to get the right size), the shoes would be five stars.

These shoes listed here use Mammut's own equivalents, which is NOT standard. For example, on the underside of the tongue and on the box, US 7 = EU 38 2/3 = UK 5.5. Following on, the US 7.5 equals something like an EU 39 and the US 8 close to a EU 40 or 40+. The US 6.5 fit, but I thought it may be a bit snug with a thicker sock. Size down one full size.
