This hoodie is a great layering piece. It definitely has a super snug hood, which isn't my favorite since it tangles my hair a lot, but I'm glad it has a hood in general. The fleece is quite thin, but is warm enough for what I wanted since I planned on layering. The only thing I wish it had was thumbholes! That would've definitely knocked it up a notch. Seems very well made and should last a long time, so I'm happy.
