Michael Webb's Review of Mammut Kento High GTX Shoes - Men's
I am a shoe/boot crazy guy. I have lots of pairs of athletic shoes and hiking boots. I bought these Mammut Kento boots because (a) they are GTX, (b) they are sturdy and will protect my ankles, and (c) they just look cool. I intend to use them for hiking and backpacking.
The boots are stiff and strong. They will take some time to "break in" and accommodate to your feet. I bought a Superfeet MerinoGray insole to go with them (a review for another day), and they are perfect with that setup for me.
I've worn them on several walks and hikes and love them. They are mountain boots, so I don't feel like I'm going to run a 5k in them, but for their intended use, for me, they are perfect.
Pros:
QUALITY
STYLE
Strength
Cons:
Slightly heavy
Stiff sole
Best Used for:
Mountaineeriing, Hiking, backpacking
Would Recommend:
