Really like them! - Mammut MTR 141 Trail Running Shoe - Mens

Been hiking in them about 14 times now and would say they're a solid shoe. The part where your foot goes is nice and snug and the quicklace system tightens them evenly from toe to top. However, the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the little pocket for the excess lace is a pain to stuff the excess lace into. It ends up taking longer than if I just tie the shoe normally and not so, you know, quick.
That seems lame, but it bugs me. I've had Salomons for the past 11 years of my life and got sick of the declining durability. I tried Mammut because I didn't want to give up the nice slip on & off feature if I don't need them tied tightly.
Still too early to report on durability, but so far so good. The quest for the perfect trail runner continues...
