Amount's Review of Mammut Nordwand Knit High GTX Mountaineering Shoes - Men's
I used these boots on a few occasions with wool socks. I had a scenario where the weather in the mountain turned to whiteout conditions with low temperatures quick. But these boots kept my feet very warm. I have used it on several occasions so far and this has held up very well!
The only con i have about these boots are their removable aluminum insoles. I have flat feet and I need an insole to replace the factory-made insole which takes away the warmth the aluminum insole offers. So in super cold conditions, I have only felt the cold seep through the bottom of my feet. When I contacted Mammut, they recommended I use the over-the-counter aluminum insoles underneath my arch-supporting one. But even with one insole and wool socks, its relatively tight on my feet.
This is a great boot for how much you pay. I bought it for about $300 during a promotion Campsaver was offering.
