A waterproof breathable jacket that actually keeps you dry while you exercise! - Mammut Rainspeed HS Jacket - Women's

This jacket works, plain and simple. You can exercise in it in the rain and snow and stay dry. I know that sounds like what all waterproof/breathable jackets are supposed to do, but in my experience, this is the only one that truly does its job. I wear it mainly in wet, snowy conditions while backcountry or nordic skiing. It’s lightweight and compact, so it scrunches down to almost nothing in your pack. Most memorably, I wore it for the Great Ski Race this year, from Tahoe City to Truckee. Skate skiing in a blizzard is a recipe for wetness if there ever was one. I was comfortable for the whole 30 km race with this jacket on (except for the snow driving into my ears). It wasn’t until the finish line, when my friend was stripping off her raincoat, saying how soaked she was on the inside, that I felt on the inside of this jacket and realized I was totally dry. No wonder I felt so good! She went out and bought one right away.
