So fragile - Marmot Ella Pant - Women's

I owned an older model of Ella pants and loved it so much as it was a great fit, versatile enough to dress up and down with and so very comfortable. So I bought another pair only to realise they have changed the material and design in their newest version. The material was way thinner, so it doesn’t provide very good sun protection. But the worst of how is how fragile this pair of pants is. The material hugs your skin, it is soft. But because of that, everytime I wear the pants, if I don’t manage to get my foot through the leg hole on first attempt, the stitches along the pants would rip. The material also snags very easily. As it is made of clingy material, it’s like the pants are just gripping on to anything that it comes in touch with. So a light brush over a slightly uneven surface with a protrusion would cause the thread to snag. The price that you pay for these pants are definitely not justifiable for something that is so fragile. It’s a real shame that marmot for some reason decided to do away with the old model. I hope they would bring it back. Because it’s so disappointing to love a product and find that they have substituted the design with inferior materials
