Just got back from skiing Mt Rose on a extremely windy day. Gust up to 50 MPH and temperature was at 32f. Wind chill was around 20f. So bad at the ridge top that they shut down 4 of the 7 lifts. The Estes jacket, accompanied with a midweight sweater and 2 light weight under shirts stood up to the brutal elements. Comfortable and stretches to allow full range of motion. The Estes also shedded snow real well. Only complaint would be the lack of wind protection but Marmot has a jacket called the ROM that has Gore windstopper. My Estes is a definite keeper! At a great price. Looking forward to testify it backpacking.
