I have a Patagonia R1, Medium and Better Sweater. I was really disappointed with the later b/c it didn’t keep me warm and the hood was flopping and the useless in the wind or slight breeze. Returned the Better Sweater and found the Marmot Preon, Small. Great color, warmed than the R1, similar fleece pattern inside (waffle), full zip, and the hood is great. R1 is lighter & has a balaclava hood, and better for climbing d/t it’s weight. Con: the zipper does stick at times, according to outdoorgearlab.com and they were right. I’m 5’7” & 150-160lbs.
