Exactly what i needed! - Marmot Precip Full Zip Pant - Womens

As with last year, when our family descended into the Grand Canyon for our annual multi-day backpacking trip: we went in during hot, sunny temps and came out in a freak Winter-in-May storm, to find it snowing on the South Rim. I vowed last year to never be caught again on the trail w/o a pair of good rainproof Zip-on/Zip-off pants (so that I didn't need to yank pants on over my hiking boots). Although a little "stiff" in the fabric department - these worked out very well as we started to be lashed by the cold, freezing rain near the top of Bright Angel Trail.
Just remember the line of separable zipper teeth ends at the TOP of the pants vs at the ankles - which confused me, at first. But, I quickly caught on and was SO glad for their water/rain-proof design. No hypothermia for me, this year, hiking up to the South Rim from Phantom Ranch!!
