Good and not so good - Marmot Shelley Midweight Flannel Long Sleeve Shirt - Women's

I ordered this shirt first in a medium which was more snug through hips than I liked but top was rather large.So now I ordered large hoping to get extra hip room to wear over other shirts.But it is huge compared to medium.Sleeves are way too long for me.And fabric is not what I would call flannel.Too lightweight for flannel.I am 39 in in hips and medium was too small just as a reference.
