What an upgrade! - Marmot Trestles Elite 30 Sleeping Bag, Long

I wanted to upgrade my 10 year old marmot men’s bag to something newer and built for women. I was worried that this wouldn’t be as warm as the men’s 15 degree bag, but after reading about comfort ratings decided this would be similar since women’s bags assume the user sleeps cooler than the user of a men’s bag. I haven’t spent a cold night in this yet, but it t feels really lofty. I was also worried that the narrower cut would be restrictive, but it isn’t. I laid this over my men’s bag and can’t notice a different in the width. The women’s regular is much shorter than the men’s, which is exactly what I wanted. The inside fabric feels very silky and doesn’t make the annoying swish swish noise when you move around. I was thinking about getting a liner, but this seems warm and I like the lining enough that I don’t want one anymore. I also like that the stash pocket is on the inside, that you can unzip the second side a bit to get your arms out, and that it came with storage and compression sacs. I really loved my old bag, but I love this one more. Definitely a good upgrade.
